Built properly.
Managed professionally.
Extensions, renovations and whole-house projects for homeowners across West Sussex, Surrey and Kent. Every build runs to a written programme, with one point of contact and updates you never have to chase.
- Fully insured & guaranteed
Larger residential projects, run with the organisation they deserve.
White Construction Ltd builds extensions, renovations and whole-house projects for homeowners across West Sussex, Surrey and Kent. These are substantial builds. Months of work, multiple trades, architects and engineers to coordinate. They succeed or fail on how well they are managed.
We take on a small number of projects at a time so each one gets the attention it needs. Most of our work comes from people who have seen what we built for someone they know.
- Period, listed and conservation-area work
- We coordinate your architect and engineer
- Fully insured, guaranteed and documented

Detailed, itemised costs up front and no surprises at the end. That alone put them ahead of everyone else we spoke to.
A nine-month renovation and we never once had to chase anyone. Architect, engineer and trades all coordinated by them, not us.

Not sure if we cover your area? Just ask. For the right project we travel further across Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
Do I need planning permission to convert my garage?
Usually not. Most garage conversions are permitted development. Exceptions include listed buildings, conservation areas and properties where the original planning consent requires parking to be retained. We check all of this for you before we quote.
How long does a garage conversion take?
Typically 4–6 weeks for a single integral garage, including building control sign-off. Detached garages or conversions with plumbing (an ensuite, for example) can take a little longer.
Does converting a garage add value?
In most cases yes. Swapping storage space for a genuine extra room typically adds more value than the conversion costs, especially where the room works as a bedroom or office. If off-street parking is tight on your road, we'll flag that honestly before you commit.
Will the converted room be warm enough?
Yes, and that's the point of doing it properly. We insulate the floor, walls and ceiling to current building regulations and extend your heating into the new room, so it's as comfortable as the rest of the house all year round.
