Services
Extensions, renovations and whole-house projects, planned properly, managed properly and built to last.
Extensions, whole-house renovations and full refurbishment projects for homeowners across West Sussex, Surrey and Kent. These are substantial builds, and we treat them that way, with a written programme, a named project manager and a design team coordinated by us.
Every project is planned in detail before anyone breaks ground, costed as a fully itemised proposal, and run to a schedule you can hold us to. Most of our work comes from recommendation, and we would like to keep it that way.
Where we do our best work
House Extensions
Single and double-storey extensions, wrap-arounds and side returns. Structural work, glazing and open-plan living, coordinated with your architect and building control.
Renovations & Refurbishments
Whole-house renovations and full refurbishments. Reconfigured layouts, new kitchens and bathrooms, rewires and replumbs, finished to a standard that lasts.
General Building & Construction
Structural alterations, groundworks, brickwork and external works. The substantial building behind larger residential projects.
Garage Conversions
Underused garages turned into proper rooms, insulated, heated and finished so they feel like part of the house rather than an afterthought.
Do I need planning permission to convert my garage?
Usually not. Most garage conversions are permitted development. Exceptions include listed buildings, conservation areas and properties where the original planning consent requires parking to be retained. We check all of this for you before we quote.
How long does a garage conversion take?
Typically 4–6 weeks for a single integral garage, including building control sign-off. Detached garages or conversions with plumbing (an ensuite, for example) can take a little longer.
Does converting a garage add value?
In most cases yes. Swapping storage space for a genuine extra room typically adds more value than the conversion costs, especially where the room works as a bedroom or office. If off-street parking is tight on your road, we'll flag that honestly before you commit.
Will the converted room be warm enough?
Yes, and that's the point of doing it properly. We insulate the floor, walls and ceiling to current building regulations and extend your heating into the new room, so it's as comfortable as the rest of the house all year round.
